Allusion Poem

Growing up isn't easy for him or me,
afraid to approach others,
too shy to go out and introduce ourselves,
always looking for an approval,
from teachers, friends, and even our parents,
a chance to show something new about ourselves,
however we face difficult problems,
but we always find a way to get through,
no matter the size of the problem,
looking at the positives.

He and I are not exactly the same,
we have some similarities,
we're both still young,
those around us see a slender boy,
his inventive character makes up for his size,
trying to live up to his father,
but often being overlooked,
feeling like he doesn't belong,
but when approached with the chance to be accepted,
he feels he can make a difference.

His life changes when what he thought was a foe,
becomes his best friend,
those who outcasted him become his friends,
when he comes in contact with the beasts that surrounds him,
he is always prepared,
thanks to his best friend that he always travels with,
knowing all the tricks and to tame them,
his friends hesitantly learn to do the same,
getting beasts of their own,
soon flying all together to protect their little village.

You will be able to find me and him in similar situations,
when there is a difficult problem,
you can find him in his room making a plan to fix his problems,
or with his dad most likely arguing,
but when he helps his dad defeat the last beast,
with his new friends,
taking the skies to work as a team,
leading his whole villages for a final battle,
that will end their disputes,
and with the end, he will teach everyone else.
